This is too funny! Okay Last Night Jeff let Jake stay up late and watch Quigley Down Under. I went to bed because I had to get up early for work. So Jeff kept saying that one of the Chracters on the show had an old fashion eye glass. I am not sure how to explain the eye glass if you have not seen one. They are usually on a chain and they keep them in there pockets. A lot of the old movies would have them. So anyways Jeff said when Jake seen the particular Chracter with the eye glass...Jake kept asking about it. "Where do you get those?" Jeff kept telling him it was from the olden days. They went back to watching the Movie! Well today the Kids were invited to a Birthday Party! They all got a sack full of goodies! In the sack were some plastic pretend wrist watches. (I took a picture!) Tonight we got home from the store and Jake is wearing the inside of the watch on his right eye. We were trying not to laugh but how funny! I asked him where he got that idea! (I already knew because Jeff had told me about the movie!) Jake say's he got the idea from a cowboy show! Jake kept asking if Jeff would put a hole and a chain on his eye glass. Jake asked if he could wear it to the Super Bowl Party tomorrow! What will he think of next! Another Great invention! Who knew a plastic watch could become an eye glass like the guy in Quigley Down Under!

Where is Jaxen? This is a very familar phrase around our house! Once again Jaxen was hiding! Today we found him in the Linen Closet in the bathroom! I am not sure what he was pretending to be. When we found him he kept sticking out his tongue. I kept asking if he was a dog but I guess dogs don't talk! .......I did not get an answer!
****BEWARE OF TODDLERS!***
P.S. Time to whip up a Batch of Brownies!
P.S.S Brownies relieve stress within Sec. just an FYI!
Jaxen and Chaz! Jaxen loves our cat so much! I had to take a picture of him holding the cat before bedtime! Chaz is the most patient cat! The poor cat puts up with so much from Jaxen! Chaz has yet to scratch or bite him! What a good Cat!

I manage to make some more cards today! It was pretty good day because Jeff was off today. He offered to take care of the kids and get them to school while I made cards. He even cleaned up the house! He is the best! Thanks Babe for letting me have time to make these and enjoy myself!

Wanted to post couple of cards I made yesterday! Pictures are kinda blurry. The top card (red yello) has a bronze metal charm that says Cherish Friends. I wish I had more time! I just love making cards! I will post some more if I get time to make more.
I seen this cute idea today and had to try it out. Pretty simple but I thought it was a very cute idea for a picture. What do ya think?

Jaycee also got her report card! She did pretty good! She is very good at Science and Math. She also needs to work on handwriting like Jake. Good Job Jaycee! Mom knows how hard you have worked and I am very proud of you! Keep up the hard work!

Jeff and I got up early today and went and visited our Neighbors boy at Primary Children Hosp. Austin got cancer when he was younger! He has been clean for years. Unfortunally the cancer affected his right eye and face. He has been in and out of surgery for the last few months for reconstructive surgery. He is such an awesome kid, he is so positive all the time. He still has to undergo some surgery after some infection clears up. I fill so awful for what Austin has been through.

I can't help but feel a little selfish. I complain so much about things that seem so small compared to what Austin is going through. While we were there talking to Austin another Mother came in with her girl. The girl was about 13 years old. She was so cute and talked and joked with us. After they had left the room, our neighbors told us that she is dying, she has a tumor. I just wanted to cry! Why? Why? Why do children have to go through this?
I enjoyed visiting with Austin and our Neighbors today. Austin is always so pleasant and fun to be around. On the drive home Jeff and I had talked about how bad we felt. We were pretty silent the rest the way home. I think we both were in deep thought. I just kept asking why...why does this have to happen to kids. I started thinking about how blessed we have been to move to our Neighborhood...To have Austin and his family as our neighbors. Then I started thinking maybe this happens to kids because they are Angels. Maybe God sends these Angels down to earth to teach us! I know I have learned so much in the last 2 years we have lived here. Austin has taught me to be thankful for every single minute of life, to try not to stress about the little things, to laugh and joke, to love and not judge, to not take eating a double Cheeseburger for granted (Austin was recently able to eat one for the first time because of his jaw getting reconstructed)!, to cherish family and friends, and (just today) that at the new theater you can put the arm rest up and lay across the theater chairs like a sofa! Austin thank you for being in our Life, we love you and hope you recover fast! You are always in our thoughts and prayers! Keep being the strong fighter you are! Thanks for letting us come and visit today!

Today I was in the mood to bake. I let the kids help decorate cupcakes. I got Red Chocolate and made "XO" and Hearts to put on the cupcakes. I got wax paper and with a saringe I drew out hearts and the "XO". I also let the kids do some piping and decorate their own cupcakes. Jaxen got the whole thing of sprinkles and dumped on his cupcake. The kids decorated one cupcake and wanted to eat it right away.

Last Week My Mom and I went to Salt Lake to this cutest wood shop. We bought these wood letters unfinished. We also went to a really cute Scrapbook Store and got some cute paper to cover the letters. We painted the wood letters black and covered the front of them with scrapbook paper. We used Modge Podge to adhere the paper to the blocks. This was such a fun day! My Mom and I would always do so many craft together but since I have had Jaxen I have had little time. This brought back the old times! Mom I had so much fun spending the Day with you. You always have such great ideas! Can't wait to do the "Love" for Valentines. Thanks Mom!

This weekend Jaycee's Friend came over and brought her teepee. They got Jaxen and dressed up like Indians. They looked so cute I just had to take a couple snap shots and post them!

Last week my sister, Dad, Brother Ricky and his girlfriend Alyssa got together and played Texas Holdem. I made dinner and we ate and then played. We have got together a few times and played. I have had so much fun. I think my Dad won everyone's money this night! Can't wait for the next Poker Night. Jeff and my sister's Husband Hank was out of town for work. We missed them! My sister was making me laugh so hard! She is always so much fun to be around. Thanks guys for coming over! I hope you had as much fun as I did! Love you all!

Jaxen got out Jaycee's Little Pet Shops this weekend and was playing with them. Jake got the glasses that go on the little pet shops and was wearing them. He kept trying on different pairs and doing funny faces. He always brightens my day and makes me laugh so hard. He is so funny!

My mom bought this shirt for Jaxen for Christmas. He looks so cute when he wears it. I had to get a picture of him. The best thing about this shirt is it Describes him very well. Mischief is my Business...Business is good!

Here is another Hair Style I tried out on Jaycee's hair this last weekend. It was not the neatest I have done. She was going sledding with her friends and she wanted it up. It turned out pretty cute and it was so quick and simple to do!

Wanted to share some pictures I did today. I finally updated the kids pictures in the house. I love to take their pictures...I am not a good photographer at all. I am however cheap and hate spending alot of money on pictures. I figure if Jeff and I like them... that is all that matters! Anyhow this is what I came up with! Not bad for being Free! However now that I look at the one of all three kids together...I need to go back and fix Jaxen's face. It looks like his head is floating..... he has no neck in the picture!
I enjoy the pictures best when the kids are just in a natural setting and playing. My favorite picture is the one of the kids holding hands on the beach. I think because that was such a fun day and when I look at the pictures it makes me smile. It brings back the memory of that day. Now that Jaxen is older I want to go back to that beach in Cali. and take some more snap shots (with him in them!). I eventually would love to take some photography classes...maybe when I get a little more time!

Once again I almost had heart failure and was looking everywhere. I could not find Jaxen anywhere. The little stinkpot was hiding under Jake's bed in the Trundle. There is a pull out underneith the Bed that you can put a mattress in or use for storage. We have nothing in there right now so I guess Jaxen thought this would be a great hiding place! He did have the Cat with him (that he let in the house AGAIN!) the cat ran off! I did however manage to snap some shots of Jaxen's hiding spot! This stresses me out!!! You know what I like to do when I am really stressed?.....EAT A BROWNIE! No wonder why I am so Chubby! O....I have to go the timer on the oven went off.....My Brownies are done!

You have to check out this site http://thepioneerwoman.com
I love it! She has so many good recipes! Last weekend we made the Chile Con Queso (revved up) it is so good. You make it with Hot sausage, onion, green chiles, jalapeno, and can of Rotel (which is chopped tomatoes and green chiles) and velvetta. You basically fry your sausage with the onion then add everything else to it. You dip tortilla chips and yum...you will love this. It is spicy but we love spicy food...you can leave out the jalepeno and use regular sausage instead of the Hot. Best thing about it is it makes a lot and we froze it and then just pulled it out of the freezer and microwaved. You can get the full recipe here...http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2007/06/chile_con_queso/
try it out! It is so good!

Today Jake stayed home from school with the stomach flu. Poor little man! He was not feeling good at all however he did happen to think of another one of his inventions. He was laying on the couch and said "Look..You think this is a good idea if your foot gets tired?" He makes me laugh so hard all the time. As I had wrote about in previous blogs he is always thinking up new inventions.
Hope you feel better tomorrow bud! Love you!

Another picture of Jaycee's Hair Do! I did Jaycee's Hair like this for New Year's Eve! She looked so cute! About a week ago I made some hair clips for her. Another idea I got from the Blog "She Does Hair!"...I especially like the idea with the buttons. I am going to try that next week. Check out the blog! You get a buttons and put a elastic through it and WHA LA a cute hair clip! (Why didn't I think of that?")

Wow....This year has flown by! What a great year! We built a new house...finally installed sod. Bought a "Family" size car! Birthday parties for all three kids. Soccer Games, Soccer Games Ooooo Many many Soccer Games. The list could go on...what a fun year! I am looking forward to a New Year...New Beginnings. There are so many goals (like every other year!) that I want to accomplish in 2009! My list could be a lot bigger but I narrowed it to my Top 5! No particular order but I will have to say that my main thing I wish for 2009 is....to slow down! Make time for the little things. Get together more with family and friends! Take more time for sitting and relaxing with my kids. More reading stories, making cookies, and really enjoying sidewalk chalk! This is what I wish for 2009...SIMPLIFY and slow down! Happy New Year!
