Are you my type? I am for sure making these for the kids for an after school snack! Healthy and so cute. To make some quarter and core an apple, cut a wedge from the skin side of each quarter, then press slivered almonds in place for teeth. (If you are not going to serve for while, baste the apples with orange juice to keep them from browning).
This is from the Disney family fun magazine from this year. You may still be able to find the magazine. Very cute ideas, I paid $9.99 and so worth it!
These are too cute to eat! This is out of the Disney Family Fun Halloween Magazine! Cute for a after school snake or for a Halloween Party. Here is the Recipe .....
Salty Bones
Refrigerated Breadsticks
Coarse Salt
Unroll a tube of refrigerated breadsticks (11 ounce tube makes 12 bones) and separate the rectangular pieces. Working with one piece at a time, stretch the dough to lengthen it a bit and then use kitchen scissors or a knife to cut a 1 1/2-inch slit in the center of each end. Shape the resulting four flaps of dough into knobs that look like the ends of a bone. Place the dough bones on an ungreased baking sheet, spacing them a few inches apart, and sprinkle on a little coarse salt. Bake the bones at 375' until they are light golden brown about 12 min.

I never really thought of myself as much of a dog person....but I am so in Love with our Dog Mellow! She is so easy going and Lazy she makes me laugh everyday. Tonight she came inside plopped herself on the couch and fell asleep. The kids were jumping on and off the couch and Mel did not move. We got Mellow (we call her Mel for short!) in July from a younger couple with small children. Mel was not in very good shape when we got her. She had not had her nails clipped for awhile and was not fed properly. She was shedding like crazy and over weight! I wish I had taken a picture! She looks so good now. We try to faithfully take her on walks everyday and went to the farm store and they suggested the food Loyale. I have been so amazed with the dog food! Her coat is so shinny and NO shedding. She looks so good! I hope she is happy because we love her so much! She is so spoiled but I can't help myself...I have never loved a dog like I love her! She is another one of my kids! She always has that big tongue out and she is always sniffing. I always tell her that her nose gets her into trouble. When Jeff gets mad at her I always say "Dont Blame Mel, Blame her Nose!"

I have had a few people ask for the recipe for the Candy Corn Freeze and Ding-a-ling Spiders. How fun are these for the kids. I am going to try to make the spiders for the kids Halloween Party this year. Anyway here are the recipes................
Candy Corn Freeze
1 Quart Orange Sherbet
1 Half-gallon vanilla ice cream
3 disposable decorating bags
9 clear 10 ounce glasses
Yellow paste or gel food color
Orange Nonpareils, for garnish
1. Let the sherbet and ice cream sit at room temperature until softened, about 15 min. Transfer the sherbet to a decorating bag. Transfer 4 cups of the ice cream to another decorating bag. Place them in the freezer.
2. Adding a few drops at a time, mix some yellow food color into the remaining ice cream. Transfer the yellow ice cream to the third decorating bag. Pipe some yellow ice cream into the bottom third of each glass. Put the glasses in the freezer.
3. Remove the decorating bag with sherbet from the freezer to soften. When it is soft enough to pipe, remove the glasses from the freezer and pipe an even layer of sherbet into each. Return the glasses to the freezer.
4. Remove the decorating bag with the white ice cream from the freezer to soften and pipe it into each glass. Return the glasses to the freezer. Remove them about 15 minutes before serving. Just before serving, sprinkle each parfait with nonpareils.
Makes 9 Servings.
You can use this same idea for other holidays! For the 4th of July you can garnish with pop rocks using ice cream with food color red white and blue. Christmas red, green, red with cute star sprinkles.
Ding-a-Ling Spider
80 dark chocolate biscuit sticks (they used Pocky that you can order on amazon.com) I am going to use pretzels.
10 choc-covered cream-filled cakes (such as hostess ding dongs)
2 ounces (2 squares) semisweet baking choc. melted
5 mini marshmallows
10 pairs candy eyes
1. Dip the broken end of a biscuit stick into melted chocolate and insert it near the top of a cake; repeat to give each spider 8 legs.
2. Cut each mini marshmallow into 4 small triangles for the spider's teeth with a paring knife or small shears. Add teeth and candy eyes as shown, affixing each with a dab of melted chocolate applied with a toothpick.
Pretty simple and cute for the kids.

Everyone knows a witch's toes are as sharply pointed as her nose. Here's how to make socks to fit.......I love Halloween and whenever there is a Halloween Magazine in the store...I have to buy it. I have saved all my Halloween magazine over the many years and wanted to share some cute ideas. One of my very favorite is the Witches Coat Rack. This is such a cute decoration for Halloween. You could make it simple and cheaper by just making the "Hat Rack" by getting a board and painting it black or color of choice. Sand the edges and top of the board and stain using a dark walnut stain! Use big carpenter nails for the pegs. You can find Carpeter nails at Lowes or Home Depot. Below is the directions for the Wicked Witch Stockings!

Wicked Witch Stockings

2 skeins (3.5 ounces/220 yards each) white worsted weight yarn

2 skeins (3.5 ounces/220 yards each) black worsted weight yarn

size 4 (3.5mm) double-pointed needles

size 6 (4.5mm) double-pointed needles

1. Use a standard worsted-weight sock pattern (24 stitches and 32 rows equal 4 inches/10 cm in stockinette stitch on size 6 needles). Calf: Using white yarn and size 4 neeles, cast on following the directions for the largest size in your sock pattern. Work the ribbing in the round as indicated until the work measures 1 1/2 inches from the beginning, change to size 6 needles and black yarn.

2. Continue to follow the pattern changing colors every 1 to 1 3/4 inches to make stripes, until the work measures 21 to 22 inces from the beginning, ending with a complete white stripe.

3. Heel: Change to black and work the heel as indicated in the pattern .

4. Foot: Work as established for 11 inches. Count the stitches, divide in half, place a marker at the beginning of the next round and halfway across it.

5. Toe: Next round: K2 tog, work to next marker, k2tog. Next 5 rounds: work even. Continue int he manner to decrease 2 sts every 6th round until 12 sts remain; then decrease every 5th round until 4 sts remain. Cut the yarn and thread it through the 4 sts; pull tight and pass the cut end to the inside. Repeat for the second sock.

So soon I will post picture of Kaden Scott out of the belly! I will post more when I get them done. Thanks Ricky and Alyssa for letting me do this....it was fun!
